OLPH Columbiettes will be joining with other Columbiette auxiliaries throughout New Jersey in the annual Backpack Ministry. School supplies are collected throughout several months then divided among the five New Jersey Dioceses to be used for children who do not have supplies available to them. Throughout the month of August, the Columbiettes will be collecting new school supplies to be used in this ministry. Boxes will be placed at the exits of church each week for donations. We are looking for notebooks, folders, crayons, pencils, pens, erasers, glue, glue sticks, loose leaf paper and binders. Any donation no matter how small will be most helpful. Please contact Michele Ewing at 267-847-0667 with any questions.

The Knights of Columbus will be celebrating “Family Week” from August 8th thru August 15th. To recognize the importance of the Family. You are invited to join us to celebrate and support the family in two activities. The first activity is the “Song Fest” at Sterling Nursing Home located on North Forklanding Rd. Everyone is invited to join us and sing some old time songs. If you like to hum a tune or sing in the shower then we can use you. The “Song Fest” will be a lot of fun and you’ll touch the hearts of the residents at Sterling Home. We’ll meet Wednesday evening at 6:30 PM, August 9th. Hope you come. The second activity is on Tuesday evening, August 15th at 7:30 at the Knights of Columbus member’s room. We will have popcorn, soda and a Family Friendly Movie. Everyone is invited to attend.
